This camp is offered at both our Chicago location (2867 N Clybourn Ave) and our North Shore location (3434 Central St, Evanston, inside Unity Church on the North Shore), serving Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette and neighboring areas.
Camps are 4.5 hours long, and we give brains and bodies a chance to recharge with two 30 minute outdoor breaks. This may include walks around the neighborhood, social "hang-out" time at a green space, or casual games such as frisbee or basketball at our nearby park.
All lessons use typing and core languages only. We do not focus on website builders or drag and drop environments.
Note: Available in Chicago only
We are pleased to offer the option to add a half day of sports and games with our partner, We Got Game, to this camp for the July 22 week only.
Sports will primarily take place at Burley Elementary and may include swim time at Hamlin Park (dry activities will be accommodated for kids who don't swim).
The add-on includes lunch hour supervision at Hamlin Park, and an escorted walk between the two camps.
Please note that you will drop off in the morning at one camp and pick up in the afternoon at the other.
If you register in error, we have a 24 hour, no-fee cancellation policy. Just call us or email us within 24 hours and we will take care of it.
After that, you can receive a refund, less a $50 admin fee, up until 14 days before the camp starts.
There are no refunds within 14 days of camp start.
We offer a sibling discount for 2 children from the same family registered in the same program. The sibling discount is 10% and the code is SIBLING.
There is an Early Bird Discount of 10% on all registrations up to March 31. The discount will be applied automatically.
We do not offer price adjustments for missed days. Please select a week that works for your schedule.
Computers and all required tools are provided.
All the coding, hosting and design tools we use in this class are free and can continue to be used at home after camp.
Students will have a personal website live on the internet at the end of the week.
Camps are capped at 8 students, and will have a 4:1 ratio or better at this age group.
Our instructors are adults with post-secondary coding education. We hire talented high school students as teaching assistants and to provide near-peer interactions.
