Turn Strike Days into Tech Days at Chicago's best technology camp! Activities may include coding, Minecraft, electronics, movie making and more. We will have daily outdoor recreation, weather permitting.

2019 Technology Strike Camp Schedule

We will be offering this camp each day that the Chicago Teachers' Union remains on strike. More dates will be added as needed. Refunds will be provided if kids return to class before a camp day occurs.

This camp is offered at our Chicago location (2867 N Clybourn Ave).

About this Camp

Camps are 4 hours long, and we will provide a mix of guided activities and open play time during each day.

Each day we will also provided outdoor recreation time, weather permitting. The group walks one block to Hamlin Park. Please bring a snack or lunch for break time. We are a nut free facility.

Refunds & Price Adjustments

WHEN THE KIDS RETURN TO SCHOOL, ALL CAMPS FROM THAT DATE FORWARD WILL BE CANCELLED WITH FULL REFUNDS.

If you register in error, we have a 24 hour, no-fee cancellation policy. Just call us or email us within 24 hours and we will take care of it.

After that, refunds are subject to a $15 admin fee unless the camp is cancelled due to the end of the strike.

What Kids Will Learn and Do

The activities in this camp will vary from day to day. Sample activities may include:

  • Coding a video game
  • Working with a team in Minecraft to build a structure or world
  • Writing and filming a movie
  • Creating digital art
  • Constructing an electronic or robotic creation

Hardware, Accounts & Materials

Computers and all required materials are provided.

Class Size & Instructors

Camps are capped at 12 students, and will have a 6:1 ratio or better.

All of our instructors have relevant coding or technology expertise.

We may be joined by guest instructors during the strike camps.
