General Information

  • Camps are 4 days long, for 90 minutes per day
  • There will be a 10 minute break in the middle of each session
  • Maximum of 4 students to 1 instructor
  • Conducted over Zoom videoconferencing, using web-based coding platforms
  • All times are Central Standard Time

Technology Required to Participate

  • Computer with keyboard and mouse, or laptop
  • Web browser and high-speed internet
  • Speakers and microphone, or headset
  • Optional: Webcam

Camp fees are $119 USD per student

  • If your family is in financial distress due to the current crisis, you may use code COVID20 for a 20% discount or COVID40 for a 40% discount.
  • There will be a limit on how many students per week can use the discounts. We are trying to be accessible to families and also pay our staff and expenses. Please select the payment that matches your family's level of financial need so discounts are available for those who need them.
Beginner Scratch Coding

Learn coding basics such as conditionals, variables, testing and more by using the Scratch language to make video games. Projects include classic games like mazes, space shooters, dodge and grab, and more.

An adult should be available during the first 15 minutes of class to help the student with any computer navigation issues, such as switching windows between the lesson and the student's work.

Dates: Tues-Fri 3/31-4/3

Time: 11:00am-12:30pm CST (includes one 10 minute break)

Ages: 8+ with ability to pay attention to online class

Intermediate Scratch Coding

Build on your existing Scratch skills will more challenging and advanced video games. Topics will include levels, animation, greater use of clones, and how to make your games smarter and more challenging to play.

An adult should be available during the first 15 minutes of class to help the student with any computer navigation issues, such as switching windows between the lesson and the student's work.

Time: 11:00am-12:30pm CST (includes one 10 minute break)

Ages: 8+ and previous Scratch experience

Website Coding

Learn the languages of the internet and build your own website! Projects will cover a variety of useful website features such as menus, quizzes and slideshows, along with fun games and adding your own style and flair.

Dates: Tues-Fri 3/31-4/3

Time: 1:00pm-2:30pm CST (includes one 10 minute break)

Ages: 10+

Stretch your coding skills further with one of the most popular professional languages used worldwide in business, science and technology. You will learn to use Python in a variety of settings including art, games, encryption and more.

Time: 1:00pm-2:30pm CST (includes one 10 minute break)

Ages: 10+ and previous coding experience
