Have you ever wanted to bring your toys to life? This workshop will teach you the art of stop-motion animation so you can make your own movies at home.

Dave Pickett, author of The LEGO Animation Book, will be bringing his animation know-how as well as his personal collection of LEGO bricks and minifigures. All you need to bring is a smartphone.

You will learn Dave's professional secrets of making awesome stop-motion action, and then spend the afternoon designing and creating your very own movie with his expert assistance! At the end of the workshop, we’ll have a mini film festival where you can see your animation on the big screen.

Space is limited so be sure to reserve your seat early!

Dave Pickett is a lifelong fan of building toys and pop culture. He runs the YouTube channel BRICK 101 where he shares his animations, custom brick creations, and other fun videos. Dave is co-author of The LEGO Animation Book. When he's not building with bricks, Dave enjoys playing video games, reading comic books, watching nerdy shows, playing board games, and exploring Chicago with his husband Bert and their dog Sophie.
